Thanks for the encouraging note, Bill.
I was happy with how I performed today. Finished in about an hour and 23 mins. The swim took me a little longer than expected (14 mins), but I picked off a lot of athletes on the bike and in the run. The one issue that has come up is that I seem to have a problem swimming in a straight line and I veer off to the left. Gonna have to work on it. Would love to make it back in for another session but I’ve been spending a lot of time in washington with the new job. Hope all is well and I’ll be in touch. Thanks again for your help. It paid off in a big way for me today.

Hi Bill,
I just wanted to follow up on my progress at the Randolph Lake Triathlon this past Sunday, Aug 11.
Finally, finally, finally I was able to swim without panicking! In fact I swam the entire 1/2 mile without stopping. I had a nice zen like freestyle going and it was just wonderful. I was even mindful enough to focus on my stroke and enjoy the swim. It was over before I knew it, and I still had plenty of energy left to accomplish a great ride and faster run time. Over all, my times in each leg and transitions were much improved and I moved up in the ranking too. I was finally able to finish feeling strong and with a huge smile on my face.
I want to thank you for the great coaching, it really paid off for me. I was diligent with my drills and swim practice. And I did acclimate myself with the lake a few days before and did a warm up swim the day of the Tri. All made for a very successful day. I can now look forward the the Revolutionary Tri at Jockey Hollow in Aug, and the Danskin in Sept without any trepidation.
Hope you enjoyed your time in Florida.
Best Regards, Stephanie

Hi Bill,
I’ve gotten to swim 3 times this past week and I’m slowly starting to get it (I think I am anyway…we’ll see what you think when we meet for another lesson!). I like the hand dragging in the water drill; it really emphasizes the elbow up and the forearm relaxed and for some reason it makes me relax. There’s just something hypnotic about the feel of my hand dragging along in the water with each stroke…that is until I snap out of it and realize my head is in the water and start to gasp for air a little. But I think I’m figuring that part out too.
I’m so glad I signed up for these lessons with you. It’s already making a big difference. I hope you have a great trip/clinic. Should we set up a time now for a lesson when you’re back, or do you want to wait and see what your schedule looks like?
Starting to not hate swimming,
Fran

Hey,
Yes, I did the race on Sunday. Mike and Steve were there too. It was great to see each them there and see all our hard work come together. I finished 20 seconds behind Steve (different waves).
Some thoughts:
Swim – I started toward the back…Big mistake. I was worried about getting kicked in the face and probably put myself in worst place by being in the middle. I eventually swam towards the front the pack. Felt great overall.
T1 – 3 minutes! It wasn’t the wetsuit that took too long….think it was putting on socks and putting on the road bike shoes (not tri shoes) that killed a bunch of time.
Bike – Felt great here. I wasn’t sure if I should be spinning in my big chain ring, so I stayed in small chain ring but used a middle cog to feel like I was pushing myself. I was worried that I might be pushing myself too hard before the run. Overall felt great.
T2- Fine. I should get those laces that I don’t need to tie….
Run – I was worried that I was going out too fast, but I kept my pace and I was shocked at my overall pace. I haven’t seen that pace in an official score in a long time.
Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better race. For my first race, I was pretty pleased. The Race Director did a great job.
So, here’s where I thank you for getting me to the point where I could do this tri and finish strong. Thanks for all your training and support and encouragement. You helped me achieve my goal of doing and I probably wouldn’t have felt as strong had I not worked with you and the other guys leading up to the race. I actually felt like I could have done more distance that day.
Needless to say, I’m hooked and will do another race in June before NY in July.
Good luck with the swim programs.
Fernando

thus far -
Just wanted to reiterate… I’m having a blast so far – but taking the training completely serious.
I think maybe at some point down the road I can actually get decent at this sport – but in the meantime, I just wanted to thank you again for everything – it’s been fun, hard work, yep – tiring at some points… but I think I’m really going to fall in love with this. Seems to me there are hundreds of details to pay attention to – things you can always be improving on, strategy, thinking, science, phsyicality, etc…
So far you’re giving me the confidence I’ve needed – plus the foundation and tools – so I look forward to continuing as we’ve been going – I think the progress has been great.
Be well – looking fwd to my next bike !!!
Matt

Hey Bll,
It was Saturday. I had a blast! It was such an amazing experience. Can’t wait to do another one. I am happy with my swim…22 minutes. My sister and I were 15th out of 35 teams, and I think one of the only 2 person teams. The sun glare killed me sighting for the second bouy, definitely lost time on that. Also the course was not marked well, which was a complaint of most swimmers. So I probably ended up swimming farther just trying to keep on track. As for my technique, I felt great in the water…it was sooo warm (85 degrees). I made it through the 880 without any trouble. I can officially say I love swimming! Thanks for all your help. It paid off.
Thanks,
Holly

Hi Bill,
Thanks for a great workshop. The videos really helped me see the things I was doing wrong and your criticism really helped me focus on correcting my mistakes. I am really happy with the results; especially with the number of strokes I am able to reach the end of a pool. I don’t look like a windmill. I will practice several times a week trying to perfect what you have thought me.
Also, thanks for driving me to dunkin donuts.
Looking forward to seeing the awesome videos!

Hi Bill:
Thanks so much for getting the video with commentary and focal point docs off so expeditiously.
I think you already know however, I will say it again, I thoroughly enjoyed your workshop and the manner in which you coach. I rate the entire experience a 10++…And, I’m a very discriminating client! J. Additionally, I liked the facility where it was held and enjoyed each one of the people that were in the workshop. Four participants is a perfect number of people to have while still getting enough individual attention.
You did a magnificent job with the videos and commentary. They are extremely valuable in helping recognize and focus on areas of needed improvement. I plan on swimming both tomorrow and Friday morning. I hope we can connect again for a one-on-one session in a few weeks. I may not be the most gifted athlete for sure…but, I’m a very determined one!
I’ve already recommended the workshop to others and will continue to do so.
Once again, Bill, thank you for conducting a very valuable and rewarding clinic. I hope to work with you again in the near future.
Best regards,
Barbara

Hi Bill,
I wanted to say thanks and to let you know both Ed and I really enjoyed the workshop. I can honestly say that out of all the swim sessions I have taken to date, I got the most benefit out of your workshop. I really do feel I made some good improvements, and I’m now more comfortable in the water and will continue working on the drills and techniques. I would also like to discuss working with you to develop a strength program to help improve my running and biking, including a running workshop.
Speak with you soon.
Best,
Jim

Greetings Bill,
Thanks very much for the great workshop. I enjoyed the learning and the progress and am looking forward to improving as I practice. You were very thorough, and the personalized attention and drills coupled with lots of explaining was very effective and pleasurable.
The video also was an added meaningful tool and not only looking at mine but the group discussion and looking at what each of us did, was helpful.
In Atlanta, I tried to swim in the hotel pool and perhaps because it was hot as a hot tub and maybe because I was tired, I didn’t do very well. My heart was beating fast, i didn’t feel balanced and everything was just clunky. But, I practiced the drills and now that I am back in NY, will do it again in my mini pool.
I feel I made a lot of progress in learning a new and better way of swimming and have the tools to make it my way.
Many thanks and I will be in touch again in the weeks ahead.
Cheers,
Roy

Bill – thanks so much for this weekend i really got a lot out of it!
I highly recommend your Total Immersion Swimming Workshop. Specifically with a weekend workshop he taught me swimming techniques that produced the following results:
- Decreased my stroke count by 40% – from 24 to 15
- Increased my lap speed by 10%
- No more pain from ‘muscling’ my way through the water
- At the age of 49 I am finally graceful – i can now swim pretty
What makes you such a pleasure to work with and produced such immediate results is your ability to communicate those changes i needed to make. Being able to swim, run, bike well is a completely different skill than being able to teach/train someone to do this. You are an extraordinary person who can do both. And the pleasure you get from sharing your knowledge and passion is evident the whole time.
Best,
Janine

Bill,
Just wanted to check in things have been going really well on my end! Today I had planned my first continuous swim test; meaning I wanted to see how far I could go before my technique either broke down or I was purely exhausted! Well I was able to swim for 50:43 until a massive foot cramp in the arch of my foot brought me to a grinding halt. I was super excited when I totaled my yardage at 2725. Just as you stated once you find your balance in the water swimming becomes effortless! Other than the stupid cramp I really felt as if I could have swam as long I wanted! Now I will continue to master the stroke to reduce the effort needed and save the energy for the bike and run! Thanks again, I just wanted to keep you updated!!!

Bill,
I really enjoyed the weekend seminar! Unfortunately i haven’t gotten into the pool since. I’m on a layover in Denver heading to California. I hope the practice some this coming week.
I look forward to seeing the videos, staying in touch and doing future seminars with you.
Best,

Thoughts?

Hi Bill,
Thanks for sending and thanks for a great 2 days.
Yesterday I took your training into my pool for the first time and guess what? Prior to your training I was averaging about 30-32 strokes per lap. Yesterday I was averaging about 17 strokes per lap and got down to 15 once. Awesome right?
I was watching the guy next to me and counted 53 strokes in one lap! And I swam about 20% faster than him with 17 strokes. Really cool!
Question — I was watching this video of Terry online and sometimes he seems to be kicking on the same side he is pulling. But sometimes it’s hard to tell which leg is doing the kicking as both legs are moving.
Anyway, this is an area I need to work on.
I’m looking forward to working on this and refining my stroke.
Thanks again!
Robert

Bill,
I can’t begin to tell you how thankful I am that I took your Total Immersion weekend workshop – it’s amazing what a difference a few hours over the course of one weekend can make! My swim workouts were beginning to get pretty stale and I was really starting to feel as though I’d hit a plateau. I knew I had issues with my stroke and, despite trying to fix them, I just wasn’t getting anywhere. Well! I think it took you all of ten minutes to get me to FINALLY stop collapsing my lead arm! I honestly didn’t think it was possible! I had resigned myself to thinking that the way I was swimming was just “the way I swim,” and that was that. You certainly proved me wrong! I felt so much more relaxed and comfortable in the water over the course of the workshop, and that’s saying a lot from someone who’s a relatively new swimmer and still has the occasional bout of nerves to deal with in the pool!
Thank you for breathing new life into my swimming – I’m looking forward to using what I learned during your workshop in my swim workouts, and I’m REALLY looking forward to the 2011 triathlon season!
Thanks!!!
Jess

Hey Bill!
Just wanted to say thanks so much for everything I learned this past weekend – I’m so excited to get in the pool and start using all of the new “tools” you’ve given me!
I just HAD to let you know that I took my first swim in our Endless Pool tonight (the contractor just finished it up last week and John had been swimming in it but I hadn’t yet). I asked John to come down and show me the controls (real difficult – three buttons…. On/Off, Faster, and Slower!), and he stuck around to watch me swim for a little while – well, he told me not to expect too much other than just getting used to the sensation of swimming in an Endless Pool v. a normal pool for the first few swims, but I have to say, it felt pretty comfortable when I found the right pace… Anyway! You said you’d be curious to know what John’s reaction was to my swimming since I’ve taken your workshop, and after just standing there and staring at me in silence for a few seconds he said, “Wow. This guy must be a really good coach.” He said I looked so much more comfortable and relaxed compared to how “robotic” I looked before. He also said it was “definitely” TI swimming (so I must be doing something right!), and he noticed how I really had that side to side motion with my stroke. We have a mirror on the bottom that should help me correct that “bound” left arm/neck thing in Skate, too.
Thanks again – just wanted to get you the feedback quickly, and I’ll have the testimonial to you by the end of the week!
Jess

Hi Bill,
thank you for the 2 day TI clinic. I had my first open-water swim with the TNT team today and felt much better today then in the beginning of last week before I took TI. I still need to practice not to collapse my arm, but once I focus on it, it gets better.
I felt comfortable with breathing and was surprised how much I could swim in the ocean water even without a wet suite. I did get a bit overwhelmed in the beginning and lightheaded at the end (someone said from not getting enough oxygen in my lungs). But it was all good.
Thank you again for all your help. I feel that I’ve made quite a progress in the 2 days spend in the pool following your instructions. My mentor said my form looked good in the water once I put my head down and my TNT coach said I’ve made a great progress since I first walked into the swim training 2 months ago.
Looking forward to receiving a link to work more on my technique per your recommendation.
Have a great week.
Regards, Anna.

Bill,
Thanks for your message. I was going to email you to give you a progress update. I’ve been getting in the water three times a week and I’ve been focused on the two beat kick and trying to perfect my mechanics. I’m now down to 12 strokes across a 25 yard pool on a consistent basis. As I tire, it slips to 14, but I’m having a great time feeling the fluidity of the movement. I picked up a Finis tempo device, and I’ll try to work that in once I feel more comfortable with mechanics to build on speed. The big upside is that I’m moving around the pool at the same speed I used to in fewer strokes and at a much lower heartrate. Work, however, is crushing. I don’t know when I’m going to be able to get back out to see you. Hopefully I can get through the next few weeks and we can schedule something.
I hope you had a great holiday and that your half-IM training is going well. I think I’m going to try a half late in the season if I can find the time to train.
Talk to you soon and thanks for the training this far!
Kris

Hi Bill-
Thank you so much for the video! Before the coaching sessions with you I had never seen myself swim. It’s proven to be extremely helpful when it comes to addressing problems I have with my form and trying to rectify them. Thank you again for all of you help and coaching advice. Please keep me posted on any upcoming events you’re running at the gym. I think I may be interested in coming in again 6-8 weeks out for a couple lessons to tweak my form even more after I’ve had some time to really focus on making improvements.
Hope you are well!
-Kristyn

Hey Bill
Thanks for doing this, totally worth it. My stroke count went from 21-22 strokes for a 25yd pool to 15-16. And to top it off, 20 laps in the pool feels like 10 laps.
My only problem though, is my left shoulder tends gets tired faster. I suppose it’s due to me not used to keeping my left arm straight constantly, because I used to collapse it too early. This shouldn’t be a problem though, nothing more practice and drills can’t handle.
-Jack

Hey Bill,
I upped my cadence and did a few runs and my pace per mile increased by about 30-40 seconds, I’m averaging 27 minutes for a 5k, which is much better than the 29-30 minutes I used to do. Still working on keeping up with the metronome though, pretty hard, seems like the more tired I get the more I have to focus.
Oh and I figured out about the shoulder pain I was telling you about, it’s because my left arm drops too much before we had that TI lesson, so I wasn’t used to it staying straight and pulling that much harder but it got stronger and the pain went away so fast that I forgot about it completely.
Thanks for everything man, let us know when you’re doing the biking classes or the tri shop. It’s something we’ll definitely be interested in.

Hi Bill,
Thank YOU for being such an excellent instructor. We really enjoyed your course. I took my mom to the pool yesterday, she had fun. I am looking forward to probably taking the one day with you in a few months!
I’ve been to the pool two times since the workshop and progress is a bit slow but I know I will get there. I still colapse my lead arm when I go to breath, I try to keep my arm there but I sink. I am not able to pause on the side when I take a breath with the arm stretch out in front without sinking. I think it might be because my lead arm is not deep enough, do you think this is the cause?
I can’t wait to watch the videos! Thank you for all your time in putting the videos together and sending your comments.

Hey Bill,
Just wanted to drop you an email to let you know your TI workshop rocks!
You are a class act with knowledge that any triathlete can gain from…I thought I was only going to learn about swimming but learned much more just by hanging with you this weekend…from cycling to running to kettlebells!
It looks like the New Orleans 70.3 will NOT be wetsuit legal, as the temp. of Lake Pontchartrain are hovering between 78 and 79 degrees!
After your workshop I definitely have more confidence going into the swim, wetsuit legal or not.
Thanks again for a great weekend in the pool!

Hi Bill,
Just wanted to let you know that your TI workshop has helped me so much! Got back in the pool last week (2x) and then today, did many of the drills working both sides, and I’m just amazed at how much easier it is for me to swim back and forth down the lane. I used to really struggle, but I can really feel the water supporting my body now, whereas in the past I was doing everything I could to stay afloat!
Any particular ideas on what drills I should really be concentrating on. Haven’t tackled the 2-beat kick yet–want to be totally comfortable with the new way of swimming before I start trying to master that (if I ever do!). Right now, I do the one-arm drill on both sides, finger tip, fists, skate w/3 strokes then on my back then back down, and then I swim some laps without any drills. Do you advise that for the next month or so, I should continue to drill, but also incorporate laps in as well?
Thanks for you imput!
Molly

Bill,
Thanks for the followup. I returned to the pool on Wednesday and thought I was going to drown the first couple of laps. I couldn’t swim as I had before the workshop and I had too many things in my head from the workshop! But by lap 6 I had settled down and tried to focus on just one thing at a time. By lap 12 I was calm and actually applying some of what I had learned: skate, target, replace, don’t collapse arm. I was shocked when I counted my strokes and discovered that they had been reduced from 26 to 18. I know I have a long way to go, but at least I understand what I need to be doing and can focus on the drills and practice.
Thanks again.
Bruce

Hi Bill!
Hope you are having a good summer and Triathlon season. I completed my first individual sprint triathlon yesterday. It was awesome!! I am officially addicted. Haha. It was the same course I did the swim leg of last year (for a relay) when I started training with you. And thanks to the techniques you taught me, and a year of practice I shaved 5 minutes off my time!! Last year I swam the 800 yards in 23 minutes and this year I did it in 18 minutes!
Thanks so much for all your help and advise.
Talk to you soon!

Hey Bill!
Had my second tri on the 7th…The Cayuga Lake Tri outside Ithaca. It was my first large event and It was also my first wet suit swim. I was a bit nervous having never competed in a wetsuit, but it was great!! I was 2nd out of the water for my age group (30 women), and 24/180 for all women. I swam the half mile in 15:35…chip time was 16:00 by the time I got to the mat.
Again, thanks for all your help.
Holly

Hi Bill – just a quick note to say ‘thanks!’ – the workshop was great. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to hit the pool this week and practice – today was the first time I ever felt so calm and comfortable in the water, I hope I can replicate the feeling – I truly began to feel like I could really enjoy swimming. Thanks again and I’ll look forward to a follow up class in a few months (and will try my best not to screw things up in the meantime!) – best regards, Mary

Bill,
Good to hear from you. I am a full fledged fish…the swimming is going great. I typically finish in the top 25% of the finishers for the swim. Results as follows:
1.2 mi – 50 minutes (Eagleman, no wetsuit). Should have done considerably better, but couldn’t sight very well.
0.5 mi – 16 minutes, (Wycoff) which included the 200 yd run to transition
1.5 km – 27 minutes (Philadelphia), which also included the short run to transition, and we swam down stream
800 yds – 9+ minutes (Long Branch), ocean swim with wetsuits – I was flying, was supposed to be 600 yds, but bouy got pushed about 50 – 75 yards out.
I took what you taught me and basically spent a lot of my time finding what made me streamline in the water. Some swims are better than others, but, thanks to you, all are better than I was before. I usually find a rythm somewhere during the swim where it all falls into place, arms start slipping out of the water at the elbows, head doesn’t come out for breathing, etc.
I’m signed up for the Poconos 1/2 IM, and have been practicing alternate side breathing. I find I go much faster, even though I’m still a little uncomfortable breathing to my right, but my head stays in the water more, which helps with the glide, so I’m sticking with it.

Hey Bill,
Thanks for the email!
Your Total Immersion Clinic worked wonders for me and really boosted my confidence in open water! I WAS typically a 45-48 minute 1.2 mile swimmer, so going into Ironman Lake Placid (July 24th) I was hoping to swim 1:30 (45min x 2 laps) in Mirror Lake…and if I did 1:25 I would have been thrilled.
Turns out, I swam the 2.4 miles in 1:14 ! Not fast at all by normal standards, but for me it was an amazing time and more importantly I thoroughly enjoyed the entire swim during the ironman! I felt strong, confident, smooth and long…and I definitely credit my weekend in Hoboken at your clinic for helping me achieve my potential. My goal time for
Lake Placid was 13 hours and Icame in sub-12 at 11:57…the relatively fast swim (for me) sealed the deal on the sub-12 result!…not bad for my 1st Ironman (and I still consider myself a non-athlete…having no real athletic background. I did the 70.3 in New Orleans soon after your clinic, but the swim was canceled due to severe winds, so it turned out to be a duathlon (bike, run) which I did in 4:38.
I am now marathon training…running the Wineglass Marathon in Corning, NY on October 2nd. Then I’ll do the New Orleans 70.3 again (and hopefully theswim won’t be canceled) and I am registered again for IM Lake Placid in July. It never ends!
Anyway, how’s it going with you? Still training with kettlebells? I might be interested in learning more about that. I really need to increase my power for the bike. I hope all is well…maybe I’ll come down to oboken again and take another one of your clinics, whether it is swimming or kettlebell.
Take it easy!
Jamie Gartenberg

Hi Bill,
Sorry for any delay in reply. I downloaded the video so you can delete it.
The workshop was fantastic. As much as reading and watching the TI material helped, this course is really making the significant difference. I repeat the drills, focal points, etc. you taught continuously while swimming and it’s a huge help (I can remember more than one at the same time now
). I already have much more energy after each lap and am just enjoying it much more. I swim 3 or 4 times a week and I know my distance has increased although ironically I’m more interested in focusing after each lap or two to try to get my form as good as possible.
So thank you again so much. I’m so glad I signed up and I have some friends you may be seeing in the future.
Thanks,
Paul
P.S. I’ve been doing some kettlebell work as well

Hi Bill.
hope all is well. hope your enjoying whatever weekend is left.
just wanted to give you an update. 3 months has passed and i have to say that im really loving swimming and cant believe that im up to swimming a mile when i could only do 120 yds before taking your workshop.
did the lake george olympic on sat and wanted to report a 48:17 time with a sleeveless wetsuit. tempo trainer at 1:35, but i felt like i was going at 1:30. still swimming off to the right so there’s still a lot of room for improvement.
doing less drills currently only because im getting ready for my first half ironman (poconos, 10/2). after the HIM, im going back to doing drills and working on left side breathing.
my favorite tempo trainer workout
1:40-1:00 for mile workout. each lap i reduce by .01
i modify the workout a little here and there depending on how i feel. also, i love just getting in the pool and setting the trainer at 1.35 and just swimming and gliding for 20 laps.
let me know if you are doing an advance one day clinic after 10/2.
Thanks again.
Glen

Hey Bill,
Thanks for the quick refund. I still wish I could have made that last session. However, to be honest I just barely recovered from a bad cold and also realized that I left my speedos in Germany, so I would have had to use my board shorts. Not exactly the ingredients of a great TI session! Still, I’m sure I would have enjoyed it anyway.
I’ll definitely keep up my TI work in Germany. Fortunately there are plenty of good public swimming pools over there. The bad news is that lane swimming is not as entrenched as it in in the US (i.e. hardly any lane dividers), which can make lap swimming sometimes challenging!
I’m really glad I got the opportunity to learn from you, I feel like I finally now ‘get’ TI. Now I just need to consolidate what I’ve learned. Hopefully I’ll be able to have a private lesson with you sometime again in the future!
Look forward to seeing the vids.
All the best,
Torfi

Hey Bill.
i went to montauk this weekend and did the mighty man half instead. i didnt want my first half to be a 69.1. the swim was cancelled at the poconos i finished the half in 7 hrs and 10 mins. the swim took 1 hr and im pretty happy with that. it was my goal to finish under an hour.
i didnt get a chance to warmup so i started slow and had to turn on my back and relax on and off for the first 10 mins after that it was pretty smooth sailing especially at the turn around. all in all, very happy after i calmed down. btw, i modified the workout below just a little. i did 5 laps instead, at the prescribe times. i believe i pulled a 4.36 on 1.20 and 4.45 on 1.30. i cant remember the other times, but will be doing the workout again.
thanks again for everything. i still cant believe im swimming more than a mile after 5 months of learning how to swim. pretty awesome!
Glen

Bill: I wanted to reach out and convey my thanks for a very well run and informative workshop. Your teaching method and focal points were spot on. I would not hesitate to recommend you to others.
I realize fall is fast approaching, but if you have some time to help me out with my bicycle training, like fit, positioning and pedal stroke, I would like to set something up. I’m going to read the TI book, reflect and then get into the pool and practice.
Peace. JD

Bill,
Got my video, thanks a lot for that.
The class was a big eye opener for me. I thought it was my lack of physical conditioning that made the freestyle so difficult, after the class I understood the importance of proper technique. I went to the local pool about a four days after the class and was able to swim freestyle for 100m non stop. Before the class I could only do 25m without stopping. I’m still a long way from my race goal of 1500m but now that I know a better technique I can focus on being more efficient instead of trying to muscle through the water. I don’t foresee any problems meeting the 1500m mark with more practice and I will send you the details on my performance after the race in May 2012. I would definitely recommend the Total Immersion system to others and I would specifically encourage them to come train with you.
Thanks

Bill,
I just wanted to thank you for all the information and help you gave me last weekend. I have been able to get to the pool twice this week and the 2 beat kick is coming along good… I also got some kettle bells and have done the stretch you showed me, some swings and the Turkish get up… harder than it looks and legs felt it the following day.. Again, just want to thank you for a great weekend!

Hi Bill,
I wanted to thank you for the great instruction at the workshop. Coming from the workshop, I felt at ease and much more confident about swimming. And having your sincere feedback and coaching on improving my swimming technique was invalueable!
I hit the pool this week armed with the packet you gave us at the workshop and focused on the drills, and I felt great and smooth in the water. I’m very excited to have the additional email with further information. I look forward to keeping you updated on my progress throughout the year.
Thank you again,
Tom DeVirgiliis

Hello Bill,
I’m afraid I don’t have a video for you as it just hasn’t really been convenient to do so (I usually don’t swim with anyone else), but I did want to let you know that my swimming has become so much better. In short, where I was barely able to make 200meters at the end of the summer, I now regularly (generally 3 times a week) swim a full mile without stopping or becoming fatigued and I definitely owe it all to your course (and practicing of course)! Swimming is basically my favorite thing
. I know I can still improve on certain aspects but I can’t wait for spring to take this to open water. Thanks so much again. I hope all is well with you.
Regards,
Paul Parkinson

Hello there Bill,
Just wanted to let you know that I became so much better.
I finished 100 laps (2.5 km) easily. The TI workshop was just perfect for me.
I also joined a tri team and I swim with the fast guys.
Just amazing if you take into account that I wasn’t able to finish 2 laps in November.
THANK YOU!!!
Guy Tanne
